EMS Development and Audit Training

EI conducted a course on environmental management system (EMS) development and audits for US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 5, educating US EPA staff on how to conduct effective audits and provide environmental management system (EMS) support. EI focused the training on practical lessons gained from the trainers’ own EMS development and auditing experience and examined the entire life cycle of an EMS, from policy and planning to implementation and review. The workshop included an analysis of the similarities and differences of various EMS programs and their specific requirements. EI also created original training materials that were distributed to the participants.
