EMS and Sustainability Support

TriMet Transit Agency, Portland, Oregon

EI is providing sustainability and compliance assistance to the transit agency in Portland, Oregon.  The project’s primary goal is to help the agency incorporate green planning and construction best management practices into their capital projects, which include several major light-rail expansions.  Work includes developing a capital projects sustainability policy and model sustainability guidelines to be included in construction contracts.  Other aspects of the project include preparing a green “toolbox” for construction projects and developing a matrix to guide TriMet Project Managers and contractors in making decisions about whether or not a specific green “tool” is feasible.
